KING LE CHA LION – T.Y.B. (OFFICIAL)

I am so happy to finally be able to post this. After what seemed like a long time coming, because I’ve been anticipating it so long, one of the realest music artists I know, and who I can be proud to say is also my brotha’ from anotha’, released his music video for the the track entitled T.Y.B. (Typical Young Black).

King Le Cha Lion is not one of your typical MC/ Rappers who talk about generic subjects which have no deeper meaning. ‘Le Cha’ is an astute individual which sets him apart from the sheep, and when out of disguise and rapping on the mic you get to see and hear the real wolf inside him. He talks about trials and tribulations of a more lasting kind, with sharp metaphorical rhyming similes that stand the test of time. Understanding the struggles the youth of today face, in a society which seems to close the doors of opportunity on anybody not born with a golden spoon. Even harder are those of the urban youth who grow-up facing ever increasing stereo types and generalizations. The track title fits perfectly with the bars in the music and for anybody who has a real grasp of the history of hip hop they will feel an instant connection to the words he spits.

This is an amazing video shot in black and white with outstanding directorship and witty shots, playing off the words in the track. Great video, great track, hot chick, and great things to come in this young mans future. Enjoy this one peeps…

G Eazy – Plastic Dreams (Official Video)

G-Eazy with his new age sophisticated look..

G-Eazy is not an artist who I was familiar was with less than a month ago. Since then I have seen a few of his music videos which are directed by Tyler Yee, and have been become obsessed with him. The past week I have played ‘Plastic Dreams’ which is the video below no less than 4 times a day.

Beautiful women, a catchy hook, and story-telling flows, make this a track I could listen to all day. The beat is a simple drum, over sweet vocals, and fill the listener with a feeling of calm, whilst keeping your head bopping.

G’z flow is composed of ill word play, and descriptive metaphors which fill the listeners head with all kinds of visual images. In my mind plastic dreams is referring to the fake/ material needs which people put ahead of the things that are important in life, like being yourself, and spending time with the people you love.

Enjoy the music video and leave a comment about what you think G is rapping about…

Mandeep Sethi & Janaka Selekta : Mobilize (Music Video)

Mandeep drops the hot ish once again with his new music video for the collaboration between himself and Janaka Selekta, who is a music producer and artist also from San Francisco, California.

Janaka has his own music style which is a blend between hip hop drum n bass beats with futuristic dub sounds and crunchy bass synthetics. This beat in particular starts of with a quick drum beat and Mandeep Sethi comes in riding the track with his lighting sharp tongue that has become synonymous with his freestyles and rhyming flow.

Timeflies – Glad You Came (Lyric Video)

Timeflies deserve all the attention and praise they get. I don’t know another duo with such work ethic, and continuous quality in their music. I take my hats off to the boys, who in this track cover the Wanted’s Glad You Came, creating an upbeat, dub fuelled club vibe. Cal has one of the most versatile flows and rides the beat like a RapStar & Rob is just a genius when it comes to production, resulting in a winning formula of epic proportions. What the future holds for these two is yet unknown, but it will surely be worth the viewing. Enjoy this lyric video and head over they’re youtube channel for which you can find the links below.

Another one to look out for is their own song ‘Sleep Forever’ the video for which you can see on the Timeflies youtube channel. I hope you enjoy this track and get a chance to have a listen to a little more of their music…

Thank You all for your wonderful comments and taking the time to come and listen to music on ParamSahni.com I take all the feedback on board and will do my best to improve accordingly. 1LOVE PS.

I must pay homage to the great producer, artist, composer, and amazing man that is Karsh Kale for his wonderful tracks for the past decade, which break down the barriers of genre and infect your soul with the very beauty and vision that is his music. He has created a masterpiece with this Coke Session and accompanied by some extremely talented singers and musicians his composition comes to life right before your eyes.

This is a song about separation and missing one’s lover. It talks about the pain of staying apart and the anxiety it brings. Peekaboo stands for the lovers finding each other by chance & their attempt then to try and ascertain the depth of love felt by the other.

Worked up from a guitar groove by Warren Mendonsa, ‘Peekaboo’ features Apeksha Dandekar with guest vocals of Mandeep Sethi and Benny Dayal.

This track grew organically from the rehearsal space based on a basic melodic structure by Karsh. It talks about everyday life and the trials involved. It urges one to step back periodically to question oneself and see where one’s headed.

Musically, Jayant sets an electronica groove which the band complements seamlessly. Ravi Chari’s sitar parts sound magical over what is essentially a drum + bass palette, further highlighted by Shruti Pathak’s vocals.
